Dr. Michelle Politano grew up in the Norwood, MA area. Her love of animals started at
an early age, at the age of 3 she loudly announced “I want to be a VETERINARIAN
when I grow up.”
Starting out in horse barns around race horses, her experience widened over time.
When graduating from veterinary school in 2001, Dr. Politano decided on a career in small
animal medicine in surgery. She completed a rotating internship and joined private
practice in 2002.
Dr. Politano considers herself a people person. Her dental/surgical skills and experience
are her two biggest skills. If you asked her what she likes best about her job, she’d say
“My career is everything I ever wanted and more; my favorite part of my day to day job
is interacting with pets and their owners- fostering the human animal bond and
strengthening our relationships with pet parents and families.” Dr. Politano is also a
member of the AAHA, AVMA, and MVMA.
During her free time, Dr. Politano likes to spend time with her husband, kids, and pets. Her
furry family includes Franki (an 13 year old bulldog mix), Olive (an 8 year old Old
English Bulldog), Remi (a 7 year old Labrador Retriever), Killian (a 3 year old Retriever
Mix), Pabo (a 3 year old Retriever Mix) and Huey (a 1 year old DLH). They like to play
sports together, travel, watch movies, and explore the coast and mountains.
