Frequently Asked Questions
How soon can I book an appointment after getting a new puppy or kitten?
It's important to schedule your puppy or kitten's first vet visit within a few weeks of bringing them home, ideally around 6 to 8 weeks old. This early visit allows the vet to check their health and address any potential issues promptly.
How much does the puppy & kitten wellness exam cost?
The cost of the puppy and kitten wellness exam will depend on your location
and whether your veterinarian recommends additional services for your pet, such as vaccines and additional diagnostic testing.
Are the vaccines included in the price of the wellness exam?
If your puppy or kitten is due for essential core and lifestyle vaccinations, we will combine these necessary shots with their pet wellness exam for an additional fee.
Do you offer any packages or discounts for multiple pets?
If you have multiple pets, you can bundle all of their checkups in one single appointment. Each pet will have a separate examination fee, but you will only be charged one travel fee for all the pets in the family.
How long does a typical puppy or kitten wellness exam take?
A standard puppy or kitten wellness exam lasts 45 minutes. This time allows our mobile vets to thoroughly assess your pet and discuss any additional testing or vaccinations.
What should I have with me for the exam?
Please have a copy of any available medical and vaccination records for your pet, especially if this is the first appointment.
How often should I schedule a wellness exam for my puppy or kitten?
Most puppies and kittens need between 2 and 4 visits by a veterinarian during their first year, depending on their vaccine history and age. Once your puppy or kitten reaches adulthood, we recommend yearly wellness exams for most of our adult furry patients.
What if my pet needs medication or treatment after the exam?
If your pet needs medication or treatment after the exam, your veterinarian will advise you on the best options, provide prescriptions and offer guidance on treatment administration and follow-up care.
What if my pet is found to have a health issue during the exam?
If a health issue is identified during your pet's exam, our mobile vets will discuss the findings with you and recommend the appropriate next steps or treatments to ensure your pet's well-being.
Is there a cancellation policy for wellness exam appointments?
You can cancel your appointment up to 48 hours before your scheduled time without a fee. Canceling within 48 hours of a home visit will incur a cancellation fee of $75.
Is there a subscription for frequent vet visits?
