Like most veterinarians, her love for animals started at a young age. Growing up as a navy brat in southern California meant military housing with no pets allowed, but that didn’t stop her family from sneaking in three cats and 6 guinea pigs!
Dr Fraser’s mother made sure she had exposure to large animals as well with horseback riding lessons right next to the base. Needless to say, it was obvious early on that she was going to spend her life working with animals somehow. Dr Fraser moved to Texas in high school and promptly adopted three dogs! She attended Texas A&M for her undergraduate degree and worked many jobs with multiple species while applying to veterinary school, creating memories she will forever cherish. She attended St. Matthews University in Grand Cayman. Vet school on the island was an incredible experience. After initially planning to be a zoo veterinarian, then farm animal, Dr Fraser ended up a small animal veterinarian in Austin, Texas. Austin is where she met her husband, and we now they have two boys and three dogs. In her free time she loves running, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking and swimming the incredible trails, creeks and lakes Austin has to offer.
