Born and raised in a suburb of New York City, Dr. Steve went to college in Colorado and graduated from the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1991. He started as a mixed animal practitioner not only treating cats and dogs but also Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Deer, and Llamas. Starting his career in NY he soon moved to Vermont where he opened the Deerfield Valley Veterinary Hospital in the Mount Snow region of southern Vermont in 1996. After 10 wonderful years as the practice owner, Dr. Steve moved to Palm Beach County, Florida to be closer to family that had moved to the area. In 2008 he took over All About Town Pet House Calls from it’s predecessor after her untimely passing. Since then he has grown a very successful house call practice adding different and more services every year. With a lot of hard work and determination he has grown this house call practice to be the most complete “in home” veterinary service you can find anywhere in the country. In addition to routine preventive care Dr. Steve offers x-rays, ultrasound, dental cleanings, dental x-rays, therapy laser, all in the comfort of the home setting. With the addition of this stand alone facility in Lantana “in clinic” visits, hospitalization and surgery are provided without having to refer to another hospital. Dr. Steve is proud to be a part of the BetterVet team and will be sharing his house call expertise to help BetterVet have better Vets.
Dr. Steve lives in Lake Worth Beach with his partner Julie, 2 dogs Avalon -a pit bull mix, Fiona - a French bulldog and Mr. Kitty a very handsome British Silver Longhair.
In his free time he enjoys, bicycling, boating, scuba, wood working, and stained glass. Some of his creations can be seen at the Lantana office. He has also performed on stage in community theater productions as a singer/actor/musician.
