Dr. Bryan Rensema grew up in a small town in Kentucky, attending Morehead State University studying biology and chemistry. His initial career in analytical chemistry brought him west to first Arizona then Oregon, where he decided to switch paths and attend veterinary school at Oregon State University. He then weathered an intense internship year in Tucson, Arizona, focusing on surgery, emergency medicine, general practice, and zoo/exotic animal medicine before finding a home in Eugene, Oregon.
Dr. Rensema enjoys bolstering the animal/human bond, getting to know his clients, and helping to maintain their pets' health from young to old. He specifically enjoys aged/geriatric care, exotic animal medicine, surgery, anesthesia, and pain control. Furthermore, he has a newfound interest in dermatology (lots of itchy dogs and cats out there to help)!
When not practicing veterinary medicine, Bryan can be found with his fiancee enjoying the outdoors, sampling great food and beers, reading, traveling, or playing video games. Together they have 2 cats (Bowie and Steve French) and a pom/papillion cross (Tahoe).
