What Our Clients Say

Review

BetterVet Vancouver

I've had pets (cats and dogs) my entire life. Robin and Melissa are hands down the best vets by far. I've had an age range of cats over the past couple years, and two of my geriatric cats had complex and difficult diagnoses and Robin and Melissa supported my cats and greatly extended and improved their quality of life.

Everything about this business is excellent. Quick appointment; kind, compassionate, and competent care for my aging dog; and thoughtful "quality of life" advice. In-home pet care is far more humane and not at all stressful for my old girl, and was much less stressful for me. I highly recommend Eugene Mobile Veterinary Services!

I sought an end of life consultation with "BetterVet". This was for my 14 year old Lab. The visit was mainly for me to meet with the vet who I knew would eventually help my dog over the Rainbow Bridge. My family wasn't quite ready for it. "BetterVet" arrived with vet nurse, Nicole. Both were absolutely wonderful, patient and totally professional in assessing my dog. "BetterVet" said that she would benefit from a course of pain medications while the family could come to a decision. Getting the meds was easy since they were dispensed right on the spot. "BetterVet" kept in touch via email. She always answered within a few hours. When we came to the difficult decision, "BetterVet" scheduled us quickly. The whole procedure was heartbreaking but "The BetterVet team" were wonderful. They arranged for my dog's aftercare seamlessly. I didn't have to do anything. Highly recommended.

We LOVE BetterVet. We have used them twice now for our 12 year old dog, Boone. Due to an extremely traumatic Vet experience Boone is terrified of the vet and has needed to be medicated ever time prior to appointments. "The BetterVet team" were caring and patient during both home visits and Boone was very happy! We will NEVER use a different vet!

"The BetterVet team" arrived on time and were super friendly and very helpful to my lab who was in pain. After assessing her Issues and helping me with that they were able to fit in her annual visit today even though it wasn’t scheduled. This is extremely helpful! I will definitely be using them again for all my animals. Love it!

Amazing to be able to bring care to our senior kitty.

Vets are patience with our pets. They take time to ask questions and also happy to discuss many aspects of my pets’ condition. The convenient factor is just a real bonus, I don’t feel like being ‘rushed’ like most clinics these days in the city.

"The BetterVet team" were very kind and helpful as we try to find a way to give my 14 year old dog the best last few years of his life - this service is great as my dog won't do well in a regular vet office setting - highly recommend.

From the moment I met them downstairs at my building they made me feel very comfortable. They were professional but very friendly and warm. They seem to genuinely care about my pet, Bonnie who will turn 16 this month. We discussed Bonnie and her medical history. They made her comfortable in my home which was wonderful for both her and I. We discussed all of her issues I got everything done that I would have wanted done at a brick-and-mortar store. Of course for me one of the best parts was the fact that Bonnie was happy and did not get stressed out. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I request an in-home pet palliative care consultation with BetterVet?

Simply create an account on our website or convenient app and choose “Quality-of-Life” for the service type. If you already have an account, you can click directly on Book an Appointment, select your pet, and then choose your appointment type.

What preparations are needed for the pet palliative care consultation?

A Quality-of-Life consultation includes a thorough review of your pet’s medical history and an in-depth conversation with one of our veterinarians, so you’ll want to have this information ready, as well as choosing a clear, comfortable area for your pet’s physical examination.

How long is the veterinary palliative care consultation?

Similar to a Pet Wellness Exam, you can expect the visit to last approximately 30-45 minutes.

How soon can a veterinarian visit after I book a consultation?

We have appointments available as soon as the same day or the next day in many locations.

Do you offer emergency in-home care outside regular hours?

While we offer flexible appointment times that include Saturday and extended hours in some locations, we do not offer any emergency care. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, they should be seen at the nearest emergency veterinary clinic immediately.

Can I customize the services to fit my pet's needs?

One of the benefits of in-home veterinary care is that we offer tailored services to meet their individual needs. Your veterinary team will work with you to create the best plan for your pet, which may include additional appointments, medication, diagnostic testing, or specialist referrals.
