I love walking dogs because I love the outdoors and exercise - and so do dogs!My 20 year old black Cocker Spaniel passed June 28, 2021. Lady is greatly missed by me and the visiting dogs. She was friendly, tolerant and provided a calmness. I provide your pet with a home away from home.Pets are allowed on the furniture and my bed, if they choose with plenty of attention, many visits to the fenced in yard through out the day and a couple walks a day, weather permitting.Pets give so much joy and companionship I feel they deserve to have some joy in return. Dogs love the outdoors and the bad weather doesn't seem to bother them. I am a widow and have 2 loving grown children, who also have dogs - 2 adorable grand-pups, Gracie and Lexi. Also, I have 3 wonderful grandsons and 1 Granddaughter.I have experience walking and pet sitting dogs for neighbors, family and friends, and have acquired many clients the last few years. Rover does a wonderful service of connecting Pet Owners with Pet Walkers/Sitters to do the most good. I care for my 2 Grand Babies Monday through Fridays. Therefore I am available Fridays evenings through Monday mornings and most Holidays.I will be home with your dog when you book weekends. For boarding I will give affection to visiting dogs who like to cuddle. Pets are permitted on the couch and on my bed. We have playtime in my fenced in yard.We usually take two walks per day, morning and evening - weather permitting.For drop in and walks I will do what is required, walk, feed them, play with them, bring in mail or packages, water plants.

I have been surrounded by animals ever since I was a little girl growing up on a farm. I've taken care all kinds of dogs: big, small, old, young, and everything in between. I've experienced every stage of a dogs life. I am a former cross country runner so I am able to go for long walks or runs if your pup is use to it. I have volunteered at local shelters and kennels in addition to taking care of my pets and my friends' pets. My childhood dog suffered from various ailments including seizures. This has made me familiar with what a special needs animal may require. I am currently a student at Duquesne pursuing a law degree. Besides a few hours of classes a day, my schedule is pretty flexible. This allows me to spend as much time as needed to care for the pets I'm watching. While caring for pets in clients home, I believe it is important to keep the animal's schedule as consistent as possible. Because of this, I do my best to follow owner instructions as accurately as possible. I have been told I have a calming effect on animals and I use this to make the pets feel safe.

My schedule is pretty flexible and I love going for walks and being active, so taking care of dogs is a great complement at this point in my life! I have a fenced shared backyard. My neighbors are comfortable with dogs. Because the fence does not have a strong latch, I prefer to be outside with the dogs if I bring them outside. I am a huge dog lover, I have experience with dog sitting for friends and family members and have house sat as well. Due to my current living situation, I unfortunately am unable to have a dog of my own. Rover is a great way for me to hang out with furry friends until I am able to adopt my own dog down the road! I am willing to assist with any training programs and I do not have any issues with watching puppies or younger/energetic dogs. I currently live in the Mount Washington area and am looking for some local play time and walks. Will also assist with travel to/from any vet appointments if needed, I do not have an issue with dogs in the car (if your pup is okay with it). I can easily crate dogs if needed, and provide a calm energy for high stress dogs. On walks and during outside play, all safety precautions will be taken - always on leash, plenty of water, make sure sidewalks and streets are not too hot for paws / too icy. Training tactics will always be used on my end when possible.

I am located next to a park that is perfect for walks and for dogs that like more exercise, we can stroll all around the city and down to Point State Park. I have always had pets growing up which led to my overwhelming love for animals as an adult. I've pet sat for multiple different friends and have also spent time volunteering at local animal shelters. I love working with all kinds of dog breeds, big and small. I also understand that pets are a huge part of your family and want to give them the best care and love I can while you aren't able to! I work remotely every day so I am very flexible in being able to stop by for walks and check ins at anytime throughout the week and on weekends. Since me and my roommate both have a cat I would require staying at the clients home. This way your animal is already comfortable with the environment and I can give them the best care needed.

I can not care for pets in my home, but I take safety for animals very seriously in their own homes. After all, that is their territory. I know pets can be unpredictable at times, so I work hard to make sure I'm keeping them as comfortable as possible to avoid any damage from separation anxiety - which is vital at a time when they are missing their owners!

I have been taking care of dogs 8 years ago, started with walking them and finally acquiring one of my own. I wipe their paws to ensure we can have plenty of cuddle time on the couch! I currently only work very early in the mornings so it leaves Oslo (fur-baby) and I plenty of time to enjoy our days outside. I usually go on short walks as soon as a wake up, then feed the dogs. Depending on the whether, I will take a long walk between 11am - 3pm. You can expect at least four short 15- 20 min walks and play time at the dog park before dark. Please inform me if you have specific feeding schedules as I tend to feed my dog at 7am, give snacks through out the day, lunch 11-12:30, and dinner at 5pm. I take plenty of short walks throughout the day and one long walk a day. I don't personally have a yard by my complex has a dog park for my pet and yours to get plenty of off leash time and play time :).
