Dr. Dani Cimino
Dr. Dani Cimino has been practicing high-quality companion animal medicine in the MetroWest Boston area since 1997. She has been a mobile veterinary practitioner for over 20 years and has special interests in ophthalmology and geriatric medicine.
In 1997, Dr. Cimino graduated first in her class at Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in East Lansing. She is a 1989 graduate of Tufts University in Medford, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biology and Environmental Studies.
Dr. Cimino serves as BetterVet’s Chief Veterinary Officer where she oversees the care of all pets serviced by our veterinarians. She not only enjoys being able to improve the quality of life of pets, but also greatly values the relationships she builds with the families she helps.
Dr. Brie Beberman
Dr. Brie Beberman graduated from Colorado State University with her DVM and a Master of Public Health degree. Prior to this, she completed a Master of Science in Animals and Public Policy at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Her Bachelor of Science from Brandeis University is in Chemistry and Biology with a minor in Politics.
After graduating from veterinary school, she completed a rotating internship and intensive clinical training program at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. After this, she continued to work at VCA South Shore in both the Emergency and General Practice Services. Her special interests are in emergency medicine, public health, and the human-animal bond.
Dr. Beberman values open communication and building close relationships with her clients. She enjoys staying up-to-date on new research that can improve veterinary practice. Her two Australian Shepherds and two cats have big personalities and keep everyone entertained at home.
Dr. Hannah Braught
Dr. Hannah Braught received her undergraduate degree at Boston University with a major in Print Journalism and a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. After graduation, Dr. Braught spent several years working and volunteering at shelters, zoos, farms, and marine mammal centers. While earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University, she spent her summers researching the effects of traditional medicines used on the local donkey population in Giza, Egypt.
Since graduation in 2011, Dr. Braught has worked primarily in small animal clinics and has indulged her love of travel by teaching students in global veterinary study-abroad programs. Dr. Braught enjoys spending her free time reading, trying to learn the ukulele, and over-watering her growing collection of plants.
Dr. Louise Mandeville
Dr. Louise Mandeville MVDr, GPcert DI was born and raised in England, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Equine Science (Hons) at the University of the West of England. After graduation, Dr. Mandeville took a yearly placement as a veterinary nurse at an Equine veterinary referral hospital before venturing to Europe to obtain her doctor of veterinary medicine at the University of Kosice, Slovakia (2010). Shortly after, Dr. Mandeville took a district veterinarian position in Northern Sweden before returning to the South West of England as a small animal and equine practitioner. In 2012, she moved to Bristol University (England) for a small animal rotating internship. Dr. Mandeville has since received clinical experience as a companion animal general practitioner in the United Kingdom, California, and now Massachusetts. Before her recent move to Massachusetts, Dr. Mandeville completed an RCVS (England) general practitioner certificate in diagnostic imaging and plans to continue her training to achieve advanced status. Her passion lies in efficient and rapid diagnosis through the use of ultrasonography and evidence-based medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Mandeville enjoys playing tennis, training for triathlons, and spending time with her husband, 2 children, and tiny chihuahua Maui.
Sam has been a veterinary nurse for 4 years. She worked at Arlington Animal Clinic while completing a veterinary nurse program at Mount Ida College. She graduated in May of 2020 and has since been working in the emergency department at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA. She is on track to becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician and hopes to one day obtain her specialty in Emergency and Critical Care. Despite her love for the ER, Sam also enjoys working in general practice as it allows her to build meaningful relationships with clients and their pets. When she’s not cuddled with one of her three dogs (or all of them), she enjoys roller skating, kickboxing, practicing yoga, and in the summertime...tanning!
Dr. John de Jong
Dr. John de Jong is a companion animal veterinarian and experienced veterinary surgeon. From 2018-19 he served as President of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the largest veterinary organization in the U.S. with over 96,000 members, and from 2015-16 as Chair of the AVMA Board of Directors. Over his 35+ year career, he has founded several veterinary practices, including Boston Mobile Veterinary Clinic, Newton Animal Hospital, and most recently BetterVet. Dr. de Jong received his veterinary degree from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and is a trustee of Tufts University.
Nicole started her career in the Veterinary industry in 2001 as a kennel attendant, she worked her way up through the kennel and client service positions while obtaining her Bachelors in Business Management. After graduating college she worked as a Practice Manager at several different Veterinary Hospitals throughout Southern NH. Nicole comes to BetterVet with over 15 years of Practice Management experience, and in 2019 she became a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. Nicole has a passion for providing the best medicine to our patients and the clients who love them. Striving each day to ensure great customer service, excellent patient care, and providing an enriching, supportive and family oriented work environment. In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, and their 2 dogs, Frankie and Jenny.
