El Paso Animal Clinic
El Paso kept my dog alone after surgery & he died
“Do you know that when you leave a dog/cat overnight at a veterinarians office to be observed after surgery that they are often not observed at all. My dog was ALL alone for 11.5 hours after surgery in a kennel and without food, being let out to go to the bathroom or any followup pain medication! The next morning it was discovered that he had developed a high fever. How long did he have that fever? The vet admitted that he had overheated. A few hours later he DIED. He was 4 years old! How can you leave a pet with NO supervision after a surgery when complications are likely to arise? My heart is absolutely broken thinking how miserable that my BELOVED dog was the last day of his life thanks to the irresponsibility of El Paso Animal Clinic in Derby, KS\n\nEl Paso also should have called me when they found my dog with a fever. Instead I called and asked if I could come pick up my dog and they said 'Yes, he is ready to go home' with no indication that anything had been wrong. I took my 4 year old daughter with me. We waited an hour in the lobby for my sweet boy. The whole time I was telling my daughter that he would come out any minute. Imagine my shock when we were pulled into a room and told that he had died about a half hour ago. He died while we were waiting for him in the lobby. My daughter was horrified and crying (so was I). She will probably remember this the rest of her life. This was not the way that you want to tell your 4 year old that she lost her best friend. \n\nTaking my dog to El Paso was one of the biggest mistakes of my entire life. \n\nPlease do not send your animals to El Paso Animal Clinic in Derby, KS. Also, I am begging you to make sure that whoever does care for your pets not leave them alone when they are ill. \n” -

Mertz Eileen DVM
she only cares about money
“My animal ran out of heartguard and was three days overdue for an exam. We were having a very busy schedule at the time and refused to give medication for my dog even if I made an appointment to get him in in the next week. This left my dog vulnerable and without medication needed for his care.” -

Ridgeview Animal Hospital
Misleading Cost estimates
“This vet totally misled me with the cost for surgery for my cat. I was assured that it would be around $150. The issue was more serious but instead of contacting me to see what I wanted to do, they performed surgery and charged me $800. They acknowledged that they told me it would only be $150 but then refused to reduce the costs or work with me on a payment plan. ” -

Little Apple Veterinary Hospital
Caring and professional
“We have been going here for about 15 years. \nTheir office is very organized. They have never lost any of my records. The vets take their time with you and answer your questions. Prices are in line with others in the area. No pressure go for expensive testing or procedures. Very clean new facility. Have also used their grooming and boarding and was very satified with both. I love this place! \n \n \n \n \n”
